Ingredients

  • ¼ cup Milk
  • 4 oz Butter cubed and softened
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 3 medium Bananas over ripe, mashed
  • cup Brown sugar packed, light or brown
  • cup Sugar
  • 2 cup Flour all purpose
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¾ teaspoon Cinnamon ground
  • teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Baking soda
  • ¾ cup Pecans chopped

Instructions

  • Spray the inside of the bread machine baking pan with some non stick cooking spray, even if your pan says it's non stick.
  • Mash the bananas until smooth and slightly lumpy.
  • Add the milk, butter, eggs, and vanilla first in the bread machine pan.
    ¼ cup Milk, 4 oz Butter, 2 Eggs, 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • Add the mashed bananas to the bread machine pan.
    3 medium Bananas
  • Next, add the brown sugar and the granulated white sugar on top of the mashed bananas.
    ⅓ cup Brown sugar, ⅓ cup Sugar
  • Add the flour, salt, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and the optional chopped pecans.
    2 cup Flour, 1 teaspoon Salt, ¾ teaspoon Cinnamon, 1½ teaspoon Baking powder, ½ teaspoon Baking soda, ¾ cup Pecans
  • Select the QUICK BREAD setting for a 1.5 lb load with a medium crust, and press the start button.
  • Scrape down the sides of the bread machine pan after about 10 minutes of mixing, or before the bake cycle starts.
  • When the bake cycle completes wait 10 to 15 minutes before removing the bread pan and tipping out the banana bread to cool. Make sure the mixing paddle is not left in the bread underneath the loaf also. Slice and serve when the banana bread has cooled down.

Notes

Here are a few tips for making banana bread recipe for bread machine.
  • Use overripe bananas. Overripe bananas are sweeter and more flavorful than ripe bananas. This will result in a more delicious banana bread.
  • To add nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit to the bread, simply add them to the bread machine pan along with the other ingredients.
  • Let the banana bread cool completely before slicing. This will help prevent the banana bread from crumbling.
  • If you don't have a bread machine, you can still make this banana bread recipe. Simply mix all of the ingredients together in a bowl and then transfer the batter to a greased loaf pan. Bake the banana bread at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 45-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
