  • Stir in the egg, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt. Gradually add the flour, mixing until a dough forms
⅓ cup Vegetable oil, 1 Egg, 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon Salt, 2¾ cup Flour
  • Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, until smooth and elastic.
  • Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  • While the dough is rising, prepare the apple filling. In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and chopped walnuts together in a bowl. Wash, peel, core, and dice the apples.
1 tablespoon Brown sugar, 2 teaspoon Cinnamon, ½ teaspoon Nutmeg, 1 cup Walnuts, 3 medium Apples, ½ cup Brown sugar

Make The Brown Sugar Glaze

3 tablespoon Butter, 2 tablespoon Cream, ⅓ cup Brown Sugar - Dark or light., ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract

Notes

  • Make sure to use warm water when proofing the yeast. This will help the yeast activate and the dough rise properly.
  • For extra fluffy cinnamon rolls, use bread flour instead of all purpose flour.
  • Let the rolls rise in a warm place, but not too hot. A warm oven turned off works well.
  • Don't over bake the rolls. They should be golden brown, but not too dark.
